Another annual event, the Fireworks Spectacular at the Speedway
Low light, fast moving vehicles, dust, wires, people. Not any easy situation. I’d love chance to take my camera ‘in field’.
The stock car racing is alway fun to watch. It’s a shame about the wires, but they’re there for our safety.F-stop f/6.3 Exposure time 1/160sec ISO Speed ISO-640
Lots of chances to practice my panning technique while cars whizzed around the track.F-stop f/6.3 Exposure time 1/160sec ISO Speed ISO-640
Right in front of us! Everyone goes for the crashes – the actual racing is inconsequential.F-stop f/5.6 Exposure time 1/125sec ISO Speed ISO-640
These guys are seriously insane.F-stop f/5.6 Exposure time 1/80sec ISO Speed ISO-800
There’s nothing like the sound and smell of the speedway.F-stop f/5.6 Exposure time 1/100sec ISO Speed ISO-800
The mini stock racing is supposed to be non-contact. Yeah, right…
And then the ramp derby…F-stop f/5 Exposure time 1/80sec ISO Speed ISO-1000
Lower light and higher speed, the wires have almost disappeared.
Wow, the commercial grade fireworks are so much MORE than the ones we’re allowed to buy over the counter.F-stop f/5.6 Exposure time 1/160sec ISO Speed ISO-800
I was shooting hand held, pretty much click and hope. I was happy with the shots I got.
